In response to a query regarding points, the following is how they were allocated for each race: 1st = 10 points 2nd = 9 points 3rd = 8 points 4th = 7 points 5th = 6 points
1st 3 in each group (outside of the top 5) = 5, 4, 3 points All other riders who finish the course = 2 points riders who ride in the wrong group = 2 points
If there were 2 races on the night, i.e. groups 1,2,3 and 4,5,6, then there were points given for 1st to 5th for each race. Any questions, fire away.

This was an e mail where I asked the question on points regarding a different matter but it turns out that the 1st 3 in each group outside of the top 5 don't get the same points as this year did the rules change?
(18/07/2013 Round 12) This night Bryan, Gary, & Myself got away from scratch Bryan attacked myself and Gary we didn't catch the group in front and we finished 2nd and 3rd scratch just behind the bunch Gary got 4 points and I wasn't in the results for some reason Niall Clarke was in the results and as far as I recall he was in the bunch behind both of us? (by the way Bryan won this night) ( Response ) Changed points to 3 because you went in group 6 and points were allocated to you for group 5.........The timings from the chips show you were 32 seconds behind the leaders.
OK but saying this Gary still only scored 4 points for being 31st (second scratch rider) not 5 and I got 3 not 4? This also happened on a few other nights? Can this be explained as I was under the impression that 2013 & 2014 leagues were run under the same rules? Alan

Hi Alan. Sorry I can't answer for 2013 results but if you have any particular queries on 2014 points, let me know and I can look into it. Alternatively, the league AGM is on 29th of this month and there should be opportunity to ask questions then. Sorry that's not getting you an answer yet but hopefully we can close out any open items soon. Tomas
