Dear President,
On behalf of Meningitis Research Foundation I would like to ask your cycling club for support. Every September we run an awareness month. During this time we organise many events to increase peoples understanding of this disease and raise much needed funds for the charity. One of the events that has proved very successful and lots of fun is our charity cycle. We would be thrilled if your club could help our charity and organise a sponsored cycle on our behalf this summer.
All money raised from this event will help raise awareness of meningitis and septicaemia and support families affected. As these diseases are the leading cause of death in children in Ireland from infectious diseases, educating the public and the medical profession is a key part of our work.
Meningitis Research Foundation is funded entirely by voluntary donations and we cannot continue our vital work without help from the public. Therefore we would be extremely grateful if you could consider supporting our cause this year.
