Gary,
I'm using WTB Bronson's €70 for the pair from Cycle Superstore (2.1" front and rear) quite predictable when they're at the limit of grip as well..

Gary, You can't really go wrong with Specialized "The Captain Control" they are a good all round tyre, also the Maxxis "Ardent" are a really good tyre. I'm running Maxxis Crossmarks UST front and rear, there extremely fast rolling but don't shed the mud too well and there very predictable in the corners. If you’re looking something with more 'bite' on the front, try a Maxxis Minion up front and Highroller on the back, I wouldn’t go any wider that 2.1

Specialized captain on the front for grip and a fast-track on the back will clear well and still be fast rolling. Or if its very wet just use a captain front and rear. use the 'Lk' model though because the s-works are sometimes too light on the side-walls. Aiden in GreenBikes-store in Newry will know whats best for Bellurgan track, he's the fastest man round here on it!

Captains all around ! Plenty of grip never clog up and you go around corners like your on rails !
