Planet X Tour Of Glens 200km Sportive Challenge.
This is one of the toughest touring events in the whole of Ireland and features approx 7,000 feet of climbing. Anyone who completes it
deserves a medal, and that is why we provide one.
Start and finish at same location as last year, Loughside Recreation Centre on the Shore Road, approx 3 miles from Belfast city centre.
Registration from 7.00am with first group leaving at 7.40 and main group at 8.00am.
Pre-registration advisable on the form that is attached or can be downloaded from www.touroftheglens.com, cost is £25 which includes a
free cycling cape ( only guaranteed for those who pre-enter) with entry on the day also £25 but free cape is only for those who pre-enter.
Additional cost of £2 on top of entry fee for non-licence holders. Food/toilet stops on the route at Ballygally, and
Cushendall on both times through the town, at the Boat Club.
This year we will also be running the shorter 100km event that we started last year, for £10 with start/finish at Cushendall sailing club, starting
at 9.30am - this event will go down the coast road to join the '200km route' at Glenarm and proceed with them to the first tea stop back at the
sailing club and then finish with theGlen Dunn loop to return to the sailing club. This year we also plan to have a professional photographer
following the route and event photos will be available to all taking part, this will depend on the weather.
