Hi all,
The KARE Tour De foothills 2012 will take place on Sunday 15th April 2012 in Naas GAA Club, Naas, Co. Kildare. This is the 4th year of the event and it is rapidly becoming one of the most anticipated and talked about events on the calendar. You can read testimonials to previous events on the website guestbook by going to www.karetourdefoothills.com or the KARE Tour De Foothills Facebook page. You can also check out the many conversations about our event on Boards.ie.
Last year we had some 650 cyclists at this event and we are hoping that this year can be even bigger. There are 3 routes available on the day, a 100km and 50km route that take you from Naas through the Blessington Hills and back again or a leisurely 20km family friendly route around the greater Naas area. You can register now online for €25 on the website or for €30 on the day. There are also family rates and rates for under 16’s available and you can find these by checking out the website.
If you feel your club would like to send some participants our way for this event we would be most grateful as the aim of the ride is to raise money for KARE, a local charity with works to enhance the lives of people with intellectual disabilities in Kildare, Offaly and Wicklow.
So please come along and enjoy a great day out. If you want to know any more, please drop me an email. It would be great also if you could let me know if your club are sending some people so we have an idea of how many we can expect on the day.
Thanks to all,
Ken Kavanagh
