So that's it then!
The 2012 League has finished and Ed Lenox has been crowned Champion! I think the secret to the prize this year was consistency and bike reliability! Ed bagged points for 11 rounds and had no accidents, DNFs or mechanical issues throughout the league, and pushed hard to keep himself up there.
In total, 42 individuals entered at least one of the rounds. Some were here for just one round, and some for all 12. Six different people led the League at some stage or other. Hopefully this is an indication of the growth and popularity of Mountain Bike in the area and that this will improve year on year.
We enjoyed organising it and we hope that there was enough variety in the tracks and courses for everyone. So on behalf of Niall and Ray, I want to say thanks to everyone for continuing to show up throughout the season regardless of the weather conditions. And on behalf of all the entrants, I have to say thanks to everybody who gave up their time to come along and stand about doing the timing jobs!
